Being photographed should never feel like an exam. The best portraits happen when you are comfortable — and comfort is something we can plan for together.
1. Wear what makes you feel like you
Skip the costume. Choose clothes that already make you feel confident, and bring a second option in case the mood changes.
2. Keep it simple
Avoid overly busy patterns. Solid tones and soft textures let the light do its work and keep the focus on you.
3. Sleep, and drink water
Your energy reads in every frame. A good night before the session is worth more than any retouching.
4. Trust the direction
You do not need to know how to pose. Trust that small directions — a turned shoulder, a lowered chin — will handle the rest.
5. Give yourself grace
Some frames will be favourites instantly; others grow on you. Leave room for both.
